Millie

Millie and I did our shoot together not too long before the first lockdown happened. It was quite a strange time, as we knew the lockdown was looming but didn’t really know at that point what it really meant. We had our shoot planned for a while as Millie wanted us to capture her when she was almost full term, so that her gorgeous bump was in full bloom. It's safe to say that she really is as beautiful in real life as in her photos, she was so warm and welcoming too. Lots of women really look up to Millie so I really wanted to do her and our time together justice. As someone who has done this sort of thing before - she already had outfits ready and hanging, with ideas of her own to contribute and was so open and creative with her process. It was a beautiful spring day and her courtyard doors were open, warm air blew inside. We chose a few locations in her home and set aside the outfits we wanted to use.

She made my job so incredibly easy and it was honestly such a beautiful experience. The way Millie held herself was captivating. We used her wedding vale for one of the shots, which was such a sweet, personal touch. It somehow made so much sense to hold and use that special piece - its material framed her perfectly.

The shots we took together are still some of my most treasured photos. It was a pleasure to capture her not only whilst she was looking so motherly and magical but also before the world as we knew it became a very different place. Millie’s little girl Sienna is now earth side and I can’t wait to meet her.
